Also starting in early May each year on Tuesday afternoons and evenings the club runs a fun competition aimed specifically at beginners to give an opportunity to put all those lessons to good use, play with other members and feel comfortable on the course. The club also runs a beginners network to provide a means whereby beginners can get to know each other, arrange to play golf and feel at home in the club.

After having availed of the lessons and secured a handicap it is hoped that beginners would become active and participate in the competitions that take place every weekend throughout the year and enjoy the social aspect of the club as well.
