Lessons usually commence in April every year and run for 8 weeks.

You can apply for membership by completing the proposal form and returning same to Claremorris Golf Club.

Beginners

Newcomers to the game of golf are especially welcome at Claremorris Golf Club.

Beginners can enjoy learning to play golf with lessons from Jimmy Heggarty European Seniors Tour Professional. Jimmy can also provide private tuition by appointment and advise on equipment.

Also starting in early May each year on Tuesday afternoons and evenings the club runs a fun competition aimed specifically at beginners to give an opportunity to put all those lessons to good use, play with other members and feel comfortable on the course. The club also runs a beginners network to provide a means whereby beginners can get to know each other, arrange to play golf and feel at home in the club.

After having availed of the lessons and secured a handicap it is hoped that beginners would become active and participate in the competitions that take place every weekend throughout the year and enjoy the social aspect of the club as well.
